Cannes, June 16, 2014 – The Exchange Lab, the world’s largest programmatic digital media marketplace, has announced today that Chris Dobson, former Chairman, is taking on the new extended role of Executive Chairman with immediate effect.
Dobson, who joined the company in January 2014 as its non-executive Chairman, extends his responsibilities to drive business growth for The Exchange Lab on an international scale, working collaboratively with CEO James Aitken. In addition to an operations and financial remit, this will include exploring ways to leverage his experience from former roles where he worked with many of the world’s biggest and most successful brand advertisers. He will lead the strategic development of the business to answer the increasing interest from customers worldwide in smart, effective and easy-to-use programmatic technology to achieve all forms of marketing KPIs, from performance through to brand. James Aitken will continue to manage sales and marketing across the organisation.

Prior to joining The Exchange Lab, Dobson was Executive Vice President and General Manager, BBC Advertising Division where he oversaw its international pay-TV channels and online services. He was responsible for advertising monetisation strategy and execution across all its commercial media assets across TV, online and mobile and managed sales and marketing teams in 18 offices across the US, EMEA and Asia.
